Clear your calendar! You're invited to take part in the Future of Driverless City III: as Fast as Furious: Political Engineering (3 of 4 Summer Talk Series) panel on August 1st. This month theme is about the re-imagined car
...shared, autonomous and electric.
Did you know? In the early days of the automobile, electric engines were way more popular and common than gasoline-powered engines. They were less noisy, dirty, smelly, and difficult to operate. It's too bad that afterwards, the technology for gasoline cars developed faster than the technology for electric cars. Fast forward to present day, the petroleum-suckers remained to dominate our roads; playing a significant role in our world's ongoing environmental degradation. But hey, we're seeing a change of heart. Not only do we want a safe autonomous car but we don't mind sharing if that eases up the urban mobility crisis! A BIG PLUS if it's electric and we can save the planet altogether! So maybe what's old is new again!

The idea of the Future of Driverless City: Summer Talk Series is about ...will NYC ever be able to consolidate the group of experts and resources to hopefully plan for a true (and safe) testing?
Who knows? Maybe we'll find the self-driving dream team to safely test coming April 1, 2019? This summer talk series is about planning, designing, testing, and implementing the experiences of the future of autonomous car and machines within our city. It’s about questions, self-driving stuff and of course about people. Metis is our venue for a glimpse of the future of cars. This is going to be a fun ride!
Special thanks to our moderator, speakers and host, Metis.
